I am a pretty big huge advocate of the CATHOLIC BOOKSTORE. In largely non Catholics areas such as mine it is nice to have a Catholic presence like that. It also serves often as a place of community and to catch up on the latest news in the town or the Diocese. Catholic Book store owners are good at that.
Sadly in my own area I am not sure the Diocese Office years back got the importance of the local Catholic Book store. Nowadays I sensed that has changed. It is a important and vital link for a Catholic community I feel.
Catholic Bookstores just like everyone else are having to deal with the online competition and things such as e-readers. So it was nice to see this article from the Archdiocese of Atlanta on their book store owners are surviving against these new challenges . See Faith-Based Owners, Bookshops Defy Online Trend
